VIVA VOICE Experiences

Living encounters with places and people.

VIVA VOICE experiences start from the place and the people. They are not guided tours or tourist routes, but encounters where places reveal themselves through stories, legends, memories and the small secrets that time has kept.

Each experience weaves together narrative, the natural environment and a sense of place, creating a continuous link between past and present. Knowledge is born from storytelling and shared experience, creating meaning, connection and resonance.

How they're born

Before any design, we listen to the place, the people and the context. The script exists as a base structure, but stays open to adaptation. We work with:

  • Storytelling rooted in place and legend
  • Sensory experiences and attention to place
  • Dialogue, sharing and listening
  • Integration of the natural world
  • Historical and contextual research
Living Light: The Firefly Experience

Living Light: The Firefly Experience

Serra da Arrábida

As night slowly embraces the Arrábida Mountains, this experience invites participants into an atmosphere where nature sets the rhythm and light appears in unexpected, delicate and almost unreal ways. Along a peaceful walk through trees, dark trails and quiet moments of contemplation, we search for one of the most magical and fleeting natural spectacles of the mountains: the silent glow of fireflies. Between moments of storytelling, silence and observation, stories, curiosities and connections to the territory gradually unfold, while the starry sky, the sounds of the night and the calmness of Arrábida create the perfect setting to slow down and experience nature more deeply. More than a night walk, this is an experience of presence, contemplation and connection with the most sensory and hidden side of the mountains.

Alcochete: Voices of Salt

Alcochete: Voices of Salt

Alcochete

The Samouco Salt Pans were born from the relationship between people and the Tagus River, shaped by salt, tides, and gestures passed through generations. Along the experience, we explore areas where human work has left its mark on the landscape, including an active salt pan where traditional salt production methods are still preserved today. Through stories, legends, and local narratives, the place also reveals itself through its natural environment: from the flamingos that now inhabit the salt pans to the sounds, flavours, textures, and landscapes that make this a deeply sensory experience. Here, the past meets the present, creating a living encounter that is felt long after it ends.

Alcochete: Voices of Salt & Tagus Flavours

Alcochete: Voices of Salt & Tagus Flavours

Alcochete

This experience brings together two inseparable dimensions of Alcochete: the salt pans and the table. Between salt, the Tagus and local cuisine, we discover how these elements have shaped flavours, traditions and ways of living across generations. The route includes a visit to the salt pans and lunch at a traditional restaurant in the historic centre of Alcochete, where grilled fish takes centre stage, alongside other options always tied to local tradition. The experience may take place with the visit to the salt flats either before or after lunch. Either way, the conversation continues at the table and across the territory, revealing stories and connections that a regular meal cannot tell, and that the salt pans alone cannot fully explain.

Alcochete: Echoes of the Tagus

Alcochete: Echoes of the Tagus

Alcochete

In Alcochete, stories do not live only in books. They live in the streets, along the waterfront, within the churches, in the gestures and voices of those who grew up here and continue to give life to the village today. This experience invites participants to discover Alcochete through the stories and legends carried by the Tagus River and shaped over time. Between the legacy of King Manuel I, the streets of the historic centre, the Church of Saint John the Baptist, the Chapel of Our Lady of Life, the riverside pier and the viewpoints overlooking the river, local narratives, curiosities and hidden stories gradually unfold. An experience where past and present meet along a living route, shaped by stories that are told, felt, and shared.

Alcochete: Echoes & Tagus Flavours

Alcochete: Echoes & Tagus Flavours

Alcochete

This experience brings together two complementary moments that reveal Alcochete beyond the obvious: a guided walk through the village and a shared encounter around local flavours and traditions. Between the Tagus River, the streets of the historic centre and the region’s gastronomy, we discover how the territory continues to live through the stories, habits and ways of life of those who grew up here and still call Alcochete home. Throughout the walk, the village gradually reveals itself through its voices, legends, memories and small details that often go unnoticed. Between churches, riverside viewpoints, piers and streets facing the river, stories emerge connected to the Tagus and to the people who shaped Alcochete’s identity over time. At the table, in a traditional local restaurant, grilled fish takes centre stage alongside other dishes rooted in local culinary tradition, extending the experience through conversation, sharing and the flavours of the territory. Lunch may take place either before or after the walk. In both cases, the experience unfolds between landscapes, stories and encounters, in a rhythm designed to feel Alcochete beyond the idea of a visit and closer to what truly gives life to the village.

Arrábida: Green, Legends & Sea

Arrábida: Green, Legends & Sea

Serra da Arrábida

The Arrábida Mountain Range reveals itself between the green of its vegetation, the blue of the sea and the stories carried by the territory over time. This experience invites participants to explore some of its trails and viewpoints through an approach where nature, legends, memory and observation come together in a calm and sensory rhythm. Along the way, stories emerge connected to the geological formation of the mountains, local wildlife, the relationship between humans and animals, and the different ways this landscape has been lived throughout the centuries. Part of a protected natural area of national relevance, integrated into the European Natura 2000 network and classified by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve, Arrábida reveals itself not only as a place of extraordinary natural beauty, but as a living territory deeply shaped by the connection between nature and human presence. Between ancient holm oaks, curious life cycles, the dolphins of the Sado, old spiritual paths and landscapes shaped by limestone and the sea, ancient and contemporary stories meet along the route, from the Franciscan monks who once sought silence and retreat here to the maritime legends linked to dolphins and local fishing communities. More than a walk, this experience offers an encounter with Arrábida through contemplation, storytelling and sensory discovery, in a journey designed to slow down, observe and feel the mountains beyond the landscape itself.

Arrábida: Picnic Between Mountain & Sea

Arrábida: Picnic Between Mountain & Sea

Serra da Arrábida

Between the mountains and the sea, this experience combines a guided walk through Arrábida with an outdoor gastronomic moment, designed to be enjoyed at a slow and connected rhythm with the surrounding landscape. Along the route, trails, viewpoints and hidden paths reveal not only the natural beauty of Arrábida, but also stories, legends and local curiosities linked to the territory, its communities and the ways nature and human presence have coexisted here throughout time. Recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve and integrated into the European Natura 2000 network, Arrábida is a territory where biodiversity, memory and culture meet in a unique way. Between Mediterranean vegetation, limestone formations shaped over millions of years and open views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Sado estuary, the experience invites moments of observation, contemplation and sensory discovery, always accompanied by storytelling inspired by the place itself. The journey then continues with a brunch or picnic surrounded by nature, in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere where the landscape becomes part of the table itself. Between flavours, shared moments and open-air conversations, this gathering invites participants to slow down, connect and experience Arrábida beyond the walk, transforming the experience into an encounter between nature, gastronomy and human connection. The activity may take place during the morning in a brunch format, or in the late afternoon as a sunset picnic, always between the green of the mountains and the blue of the sea.

Arrábida: Slow Night

Arrábida: Slow Night

Serra da Arrábida

As night slowly embraces the Arrábida Mountains, the pace begins to slow and silence gradually takes its place. Along an accessible guided route, the walk unfolds mostly in silence, creating space to observe, breathe and experience the territory in a more conscious and present way. The natural sounds of the night, the darkness of the mountains and the absence of rush help create a rare atmosphere of slowing down and contemplation. During occasional pauses, silence gives way to storytelling, allowing participants to discover more about the stories, symbols and connections of Arrábida, its ways of life and the deep relationship between nature and human presence. Far from the excess of stimuli and the speed of everyday life, “Slow Night” is an invitation to rediscover the value of silence, contemplation and simple walking, in an experience designed to reconnect with nature and a more human rhythm.

Stories Between Faith, Sea & Stone Walls

Stories Between Faith, Sea & Stone Walls

Fátima · Nazaré · Óbidos

Departing from Alcochete, this experience takes us to the heart of the country to discover places where stories have shaped communities, beliefs and identities over time. More than visiting iconic landmarks, we propose a day of listening, curiosity and narrative, led by a storyteller who connects past and present. In Fátima, we cross Portugal's best-known religious centre, not to assert truths, but to reveal curiosities, contexts and stories that exist beyond the grandeur of the Sanctuary, an experience that speaks to religious and non-religious people alike. In Nazaré we find a place that for centuries was the country's main religious centre and that today is a symbol of transformation. The world's biggest waves coexist with deep traditions, the women of the seven skirts, the legends of the historic quarter and a community that has reinvented itself without losing its identity, all set against breathtaking views over the Atlantic. In Óbidos, we step into a setting that seems suspended in time. A place that shows Portugal before it was Portugal, where stories meet the charm of the streets, the local flavours and an atmosphere felt more than explained. A full-day experience where the journey, the stories and the people matter as much as the places we visit.
